Not Quite the Typical Haunted House

I'm an urban explorer. I believe (firmly) in the "Take only photos, leave only footprints" method of exploring. If you look for photographs of old houses online you will find lots of them. Most people looking at the photos will be looking for something spooky, creepy and haunting. They seem to want to find ghosts.

I've never had a ghostly or haunted experience while exploring an abandoned house here in Ontario. I don't doubt those who say they have. But, my experience is different. Maybe it's in the way I approach the whole thing. I'm not looking for a scare or a mystery or a thrill. I just love the old places for what they are. I like the history and the construction and the way it all weathers through time. I am genuinely sad when one of the houses/ places I have explored is vandalized or demolished.

Anyway, so far I have only created two ASCII art haunted houses. (Mine are initialed with 'ldb'). I'd like to work on more. Of all the Halloween creations traditionally drawn or otherwise crafted, I like the Witches and haunted houses best. I think the houses are easier to make in ASCII Art. There are great examples of haunted houses here. Maybe you will feel yourself inspired to create an ASCII art haunted house after seeing these.
