Groundhog Day ASCII Art
68Merry Groundhog Day!
Have an ASCII Art kind of Groundhog Day!
Finding ASCII art for Groundhog Day was a challenge. At first I could only find the three groundhogs by 'sesm'. They were on a secondary blog, with broken code. So I fixed up the poor little critters and pulled them together in an image file. I thought this would be a pretty sad post if that was the best I could do.
But, I wound up in the ASCII Art archives on Google Groups and there I found... two more groundhogs, sort of. One of my groundhogs is a recycled porcupine originally and I'm not sure which of two artists created it. So I left names off (unless I get confirmation from one of them). The other groundhog was created by Tina. This was also another creature originally, a rabbit. Often an ASCII artist will 'diddle' the original creation of someone else in order to turn it into something else or, to show how it can be tweaked just a bit better.
Anyway, that's your ASCII art word for the decade most likely. ASCII art has become kind of retro, we aren't inventing many new words at this point.
Happy Groundhog Day! I never quite remember whether we want Wiarton Willie to see his shadow or not. Either way, hope the winter is just snowy enough for you.

Love this, brilliant hub, totally agree with Natalie.
Not only economic, but recyclable too, as you can re-use the letters afterwards.
Love your artwork! Those groundhogs are so cute.
