Year of the Dragon New Year ASCII Art
69New for the Year of the Dragon - 2012
This year, January 23rd is the start of the Chinese New Year, the Spring Festival. I'm not Chinese, I've never been to China, but for me this year is especially nice because it is another year of the dragon. Each year of the Dragon comes once every twelve years. (The same for all of the Chinese zodiac signs, each comes only every twelve years).
I am hoping this year of the Dragon will be a good year for me. Challenges, changes and goals met are all things I hope to find along the way.
There are at least a thousand ASCII art dragons. I have put off pulling all of them together for this post, since January started. I have some personal favourite ASCII art dragons, then there are those which have historical meaning (from the early days of ASCII art in the newsgroups) and then there are dragons which must be seen for their craftsmanship or the cleverness of the design. Picking through all the ASCII art dragons has taken a whole day.
To create something for the Chinese New Year just use the image file of the ASCII art dragon (almost all of them are individual files) and add the text you want.
Happy New Year (again).
Happy Year of the Dragon!

A previous post on HubPages with ASCII art dragons I created. I didn't add them to this post. Except the newest, created for today (January, 23, 2012).
Smaller sized dragons.
