I've been enjoying Snip.it for half a year. It's a great place for me to focus my interests and thoughts. I store content I want to read later, I share content I've found to be useful and I find content and ideas shared by others on Snip.it.
1 commentMovable Type: Faded and Beat Up a Bit but not Forgotten
Does anyone remember Movable Type? I'm setting out to try it again. I like having an alternative to WordPress. Movable Type is a bit different in it's set up but you can run multiple blogs from one domain using the MT free CMS.
0 commentsPhotoBombing: Not Just an Annoying Prank
The best description I read for photobombing was "any photo where the main subject is unintentionally upstaged". Of course, it's not always unintentional and that's where things can get annoying.
2 commentsVictoria Day (a Canadian Tradition) in ASCII Art
What is Victoria Day to you? Do you know who Queen Victoria was? I've been thinking about the woman behind the lost tradition of Victoria Day here in Canada. (May 21st this year). I created new ASCII art in celebration of Victoria Day and found a few others to go along with this post. Sadly, there wasn't anything created just for Victoria Day, other than my own.
2 commentsWeb (Online) Games for Writers
I should be a good writer and not procrastinate but for some reason games of destruction give me a boost and inspire me to write. I also like word games online. If I found a game which had both I'd have a really hard time getting back to writing.
2 commentsWomen are Running Computers with Ubuntu Linux and Loving It
People feel intimidated by Linux but it's been a liberating experience for me. I love it for being simple to use and dependable. I don't miss MS Windows, even after one year of Ubuntu (no Windows on my computer at all).
1 commentDescriptive ASCII Art - Word Play in Text
It's known by a few names but Rebus puzzles seem to be the standard. I prefer Visual Puns but Wordies seems to be the more common name for the Rebus puzzles which don't use pictures, just text. I'm thinking to turn it into a new branch of ASCII art.

2 commentsWhat to Do with Your Old Postcard Collection
Postcards are a lost art I've read. I don't think so. They are actually one thing still worth sending through snail mail. I've collected a lot of postcards but I don't really want to keep them all now. It's a shame to just put them out to be recycled along with all the other paper.
